Inspired by the military-grade ROMEO-M17, this compact optic combines rugged durability, advanced motion-activated technology, and an ultra-low deck height for rapid target acquisition and dependable everyday carry performance.
Constructed from a forged 7075 aluminum housing, the ROMEO-X Compact delivers exceptional strength while maintaining a lightweight profile ideal for concealed carry applications. Its distortion-free aspherical lens provides a crisp, clear sight picture with a precise 3 MOA red dot reticle optimized for fast defensive shooting.
The optic features SIG SAUER’s advanced MOTAC™ (Motion Activated Illumination) system, which automatically powers the optic on when movement is detected and powers it down during inactivity to maximize battery life. Combined with a side-mounted CR1632 battery compartment, the ROMEO-X delivers up to 20,000 hours of runtime without requiring removal from the firearm for battery changes.
Additionally, the ROMEO-X Compact incorporates MAGNETAC™ technology, allowing the optic to intelligently detect compatible magnetic holsters and automatically shut off when holstered, then instantly reactivate upon draw. This enhances battery efficiency while ensuring the optic is always ready when needed.
The ROMEO-X also utilizes D.A.R.C.™ (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) technology, designed to optimize reticle brightness and lens performance in transitional and low-light environments. This advanced system helps maintain a clear, visible aiming point while reducing glare and preserving target clarity across varying lighting conditions.
Designed with an ultra-low deck height, the ROMEO-X allows direct co-witness capability with standard-height iron sights. The optic also includes 15 illumination settings, including 3 night vision-compatible settings, making it adaptable for low-light and professional applications.
