The Glock 17 Gen6 updates Glock’s proven full-size 9mm platform with substantially improved ergonomics, a refined factory optic-mounting system. Its redesigned polymer frame incorporates an ergonomic palm swell, extended thumb rests, an enlarged beavertail, and an undercut trigger guard to promote a higher, more secure grip. Glock’s RTF6 grip texture combines two textures across an expanded surface area for dependable control without sacrificing comfort.
Every standard-frame Gen6 pistol is optic ready and includes three optic plates that allow a variety of compatible red-dot sights to mount directly to the slide. Deeper angled slide serrations provide more tactile engagement during slide manipulation, while the flat-faced trigger encourages consistent finger placement and easier trigger reach.
The pistol retains Glock’s field-proven Safe Action System, consisting of three independent passive mechanical safeties that disengage as the trigger is pressed and automatically re-engage when it is released.
